We conduct Skill Development Training Program for unemployed young women from various communities/Slums. The program teaches various skills such as Tailoring, embroidery, Kasuti work (Needle work) and handy craft work. During the training we encourage them to take up self-employment unit or group economic enterprises to earn for their living.
Identification and enrollment
We select poor young girls who are not qualified to do gainful employment and empower them with skill training to make them self – reliant. Only interested children/ youth admitted and they will be trained in tailoring, Embroidery, Needle work and handicraft.
Vocational Counselling
Our aim is to make the young people busy and do useful things always as the saying goes, “Idle Mind is Devils Workshop”. So we equip them with skills so that they do the same trade at home and earn to substantiate the family income. To this effect we give them entrepreneurialtraining so that they can work in the garment factory or do take up self -employment work at home and earn for their living.
Placement and After Care
Many of our trainees are either employed in garment factories or have their own self-employment unit and earn their living. Our field staff makes regular visits to these children to encourage them to continue to do useful work without wasting time.
